Evening Attire

I was really inspired by Jessica Albas look for the MTV Movie awards that took place recently, so subconcioulsy I think I had this in mind when putting together the perfect outfit for an evening out.
As you know simplicity is my best friend so I never like to fuss or have too many things going on in one look.
I opted for a very clean silhouette and complementary accessories.  The orange brocade skirt is a lovely colour against sun kissed or warm skin tones, really perfect for the warmer months ahead. To balance the look out on the top half I opted for a silky spaghetti strap camisole; which I would wear tucked into the skirt to give a cleaner line. On the feet I went for something a little more luxurious and thought these Sophia Webster sandals would go together nicely without being too matchy with the rest of the look, which is one of my pet hates.
To pull the look together I used this tropical print clutch, which again is a trend we saw a lot of on the catwalk especially for the mens shows as well as the womens, it definitely works well giving this look the element of fun.
The only piece of jewellery I included was this gold printed bracelet, very modern and edgy and like the other pieces complimentary of the entire outfit.

What do yo wear for an evening out? Is there a particular style yo opt for?

Wish List: High Street Edit

Current wish list across the high street includes the 7 products listed above. Im now moving away from my winter wardrobe and looking for inspiration to bring me into spring/summer. I've opted for a lighter colour palette, and thinner fabrics, keeping in mind that I live in England where the weather can be slightly unpredictable, it's important that I have a variety of options that can cater for this.
The pieces I've chosen are really simple, totally customisable which is important to me, and can be worn in many different ways with other items, so I will be definitely getting my moneys worth from each piece.
I consider these items staples, easy to wear everyday necessities which is so important to have before you start buying into trends, which if you do straight away can leave you with the classic syndrome of having 'nothing to wear'.
The fabrics I've chosen are all jersey which is great for curvy figures, and as I have big boobs the V-neck shape in the T-shirts are a perfect compliment to that.
I've included a pair of trainers which is what I seem to live in lately when I'm on the go and want to be comfortable, and are a really modern design, again with colours that I know will compliment loads of my outfits choices.
Ballerina flats, and a classic black bag are timeless items that work every year and for any season. I love to update the styles that I choose for this a couple times during the year, just to keep things fresh and modern.

What's on you current wish lists?

A closer look into what I do: Wilted Blossoms

Stylist: Amanda Brown
MUA: Daisy Harris
Hair: Tomo

I thought it would be great to share some of the work that I've completed throughout the years. You may or may not be aware, but I come from a background in fashion design and after graduating from my studies went into the field of styling, and its what I continue to do today. Its an area which I really enjoy being in, and above is an editorial that I styled for the premiere issue of Coco Bride Magazine. I was, and still am really happy with the outcome of this spread, mainly because it reminds me of the disney princess movies I watched as a child; defiantly one of my favs!

Over the next coming months I'll be going through abit of a transition and will be updating my portfolio to fit in with more of who I am today, and also express visually more of what I am capable of producing.  I'll be documenting everything on my blog so please look forward to that as well as sharing with you guys work I've completed and still love from the past. As creative people its easy to diminish and not give ourselves credit of all the things weve've accomplished thus far, as we're so consumed with what comes next, and what the future has in store. I really think its important we take time to just breathe and appreciate everything that we have achieved in this present time, however still looking forward to tomorrows adventures. Everyday I'm realising its important to have a balance of both to be a happier person, as without the appreciation for our achievements, we can be lost puppies always searching for something that we 'feel' is missing, but when we look close we realise that we have a lot to be grateful for.

What are your passions? What are your greatest accomplishment ?

Kylie Jenner

The youngest member of the Kardashian clan has really started to bloom and come into her own style and identity. Taking inspiration from older sister Kim Kardashian, this look is really on trend with whats been circulating amongst the social scene, and really displays a level of maturity and sophistication that resembles those within the high fashion industry.
This is by far one of my favourite looks that the reality TV star has worn recently, it's a really simple look, however put together immaculately.
Above I show you how to get the look at affordable prices, readily available within the high street.

5. Shoes

What do you think of Kylie's looks recently? Which Kardashian style to you most admire?

VOGUE 1961

I love to look back at old magazine issues for inspiration and understand where the styles we wear today originate from. During the 60's life started to become more relaxed and with it brought about the revolution in social norms in clothing.
I love this VOGUE  cover mainly because of its ease, simplicity and care free attitude. The cover is not crowded with everything that the issue is about, and instead is concluded to 4 easy bullet points. Styling is simple yet affective warm and inviting.
With how fast fashion moves today, and the rise in social media sometimes its refreshing to just keep things simple, so when I look at this issue I'm reminded that less is sometimes more.

What are your best past times? And where do you look for inspiration?

Shoes glorious shoessss

Espadrilles have become a popular shoe option for many years now, but for some reason I feel like I've just fell in love with them, its my new obsession; and it seems to be that way for many of you too.

Espadrilles originate from the Pyrenees and are distinguished for its sole which is moulded to look like rope. It's a perfect spring/summer option as we step away from sneakers and boots, but aren't quite ready to bring out the skimpy sandals.
Above I have listed my top 3 high street versions, which work great with almost any outfit. Personally, my typical look for these would be a light denim wash boyfriend jean with a  rolled up hem, and a thin white cotton T-shirt for a very casual everyday look.

Other than these 3 beauties I have such a crush on the Chanel version which are absolutely to die for, defiantly worth the look at if you want a more luxurious feel.

What are your go to shoes at the moment? And what do you wear with your Espadrilles?

Pink

I've really been into soft neutral tones lately, and I think its a subtle way to add colour into your life without feeling to obnoxious, if colour isn't something you do often. Nudes, light greys, and as displayed here; soft pinks are cooling and very on trend with what's been circulating on the social and high fashion scene; and are perfect for the coming warmer months where we naturally opt for softer colours.
Take reference from the SS14 shows as many shades of pink from designers ranging from Burberry, Alexander Wang and Elie Saab, all included this tone across many of their designs.

Whats your favourite colour at the moment? And what is your go to spring/summer colour palette?

White Jeans

Spring is well underway so I thought it would be great to show an easy way to transition into this season with ease.

White jeans are a perfect way to embrace the warmer weather,  and can act as a staple throughout the warmer summer months. Its simplicity allows for easy outfit choices, as they pretty much work well with any combination of colours and textures. Jeans in general are a wardrobe essential, and are highly rated for its practicality and comfort.
Above I have put together 5 looks that can work for a casual day, or an evening out, all whilst incorporating this seasons current trends.

Look1:
Stripes, a classic look that works every year, always in fashion, and always looks great. Carrying on with the nautical theme I've teamed this with red Birkenstocks just to add some depth and to complete the overall look and feel I was going for.

Look 2:
Here I've kept things really simple opting for a white T-shirt, enabling the option to accessorise, to give the look a personality, individual to each person. I think this outfit can act as a foundation base to go crazy, or on the other hand be the life saviour option when you really need to just get out of the door! The soft colour of the shoes again is in the neutral family and acts as a base, so really easy to pair with any other colours and textures.

Look 3:
This look is for my colour enthusiast, still keeping within the fresh light airy feel, I've added a complementary colour in the form of a cardigan that gives this overall look a pop of excitement and fun. Together teamed with these nautical ballerina flats. This colour will look great against warm skin tones, or those of you with lovely blonde locks!

Look 4:
Metallics were all over this catwalk for SS14, so if you want to embrace this trend but not go too crazy, then this bronze shimmery top in a simple crop style ( also a popular ongoing trend) will be a wonderful addition to your wardrobe. This look will work great for a stylish summer evening out, and here I have put this look together with weather platform wedges, to give you height and a tad bit of shimmer.

Look 5:
Going back to trends Monochrome was quite heavy on the catwalk for SS14, and are currently quite popular amongst many high street brands. Another trend that had industry experts talking was the 'Sports Luxe' trend.  Seen within so many designer brands this season, if there was going to be one trend you included let it be this! Having said this I came across this mesh Helmut Lang top which combines these two trends together. Wanting to continue on within this direction I also found these statement Mules Shoes that finish the look off  amazingly.

Whilst searching for the perfect blend of items, I'm often inspired by street style, fashion bloggers, and editorials, and thought it would be a great idea to show how some of my favourites wear this piece, as well as editorials that I love.

Let me know your thoughts on white jeans, who are your favourite pair by,  and how you would put together an outfit that included this item, I would love to know!

FASHION NEWS: Alexander Wang x HM

So some pretty exciting news was released this weekend from designer Alexander Wang confirming that he will be collaborating with high street power house H&M, delivering a collection this November which will feature both a mens and womens range, plus accessories!!

The New York designer announced this amazing venture this past weekend via his instagram account, which got a buzz circulating from fans of the designer all over social media. Wang who is most known for his sports influences within his work, is a favourite amongst celebrities who have in recent weeks been sporting many of the collection pieces, including the famous ' Parental Advisory' top which has been seen on the likes of Beyonce, Khloe Kardashian, and on the runway Georgia Jagger.
No doubt I'm super excited for this collection to be released, I have really high hopes that his pieces for H&M will be amazing and meet all of our expectations. I will be watching the development of this like a hawk, hopefully Wang will share with us influences, concepts or mood boards along the way just to give us a taster of whats to come!

What are your all-time favourite pieces from the designer ?
